In the Intensive Care Unit of some hospital, whether as a patient, a parent of a patient, or just a patron of a patient, life is hard. Poisonous addictions make life hard, really hard. Oppressive actions and attitudes make life hard, really hard. When you are hurting, helpless, or haunted by nightmarish memories of your past, when you are discouraged, disappointed, and determined that there is no hope, going to church rarely helps: you must be the church!
