Rev. Franklin D. Callaway is Senior Pastor of
Truevine Missionary Baptist Church in Spring, Texas. He is a 1965 graduate of
Cumberland High School in Cumberland, Kentucky, has earned a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Christianity and Speech from Houston Baptist University in Houston,
Texas, a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological
Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Church
Leadership from Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He has
studied Business Administration at Kentucky State University in Frankfort,
Kentucky and sociology and religion at Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth,
TX. His ministry related experience include serving as Minister of Christian
Education at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, Interim Pastor at
Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, Minister of Christian
Education and Evangelism at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Houston,
Texas, Professor and Chairman of Ministry Skills Department at the College of
Biblical Studies Houston, Texas, Director of Ministry of Damascus Road in
Houston, Texas, Associate Minister at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Fort Worth,
Texas, and Community Organization Director for the Ft. Worth Area Council of
Churches in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Born in Benham, Kentucky, Pastor Callaway is married to the former Barbara Gail
Smith of Fort Worth, Texas and they have two children: an adult son, Lloyd
Franklin, and a teenage daughter, Leigh Anna. He is medically retired from the
United States Air force where he served our country as a Doppler and Inertial
Navigation Systems Technician. When he is not at work in the fields of our
Lord, he rests and un-winds by maintaining his beloved garden, fishing, and
reading.
